"I grabbed this because my toddler is in that clumsy phase where she's constantly bumping her knees, and holding a bag of frozen peas on a screaming child is basically impossible. This little echidna pack is a lifesaver mainly because of the strap. You can just velcro it around their leg or arm and it actually stays in place while they move around. The back side is made of this soft fabric material, which is genius because you don't have to wrap it in a tea towel to stop it from being too cold against their skin. It gets cold fast in the freezer but stays flexible. Just a heads up, because it's small and kid-safe, it doesn't stay frozen for hours like those big blue blocks, but it lasts long enough to bring the swelling down. Definitely worth the $14 to stop the tears."

"Perma Echidna Cold Pack for Kids this is a fantastic little cold pack for kids. It has an image of an Echidna on the front and it has a soft plush fabric on the back that goes against your little ones skin. It has a Velcro adjustable strap to allow you to place the cold pack where it's needed, and have it stay on, over the wrist, foot etc. it's very good for bumps, bruises and bites. The cold pack can be stored in the freezer or fridge so it's ready to use at any time or you can also keep it in with your other first aid supplies, bare in mind though it does take around 2 hours to get to the correct temperature to use when you put it in the freezer. I think with the price being such good value, you could have two."

"This small cold pack works ok for my kid’s arms and legs. The size and Velcro strap are better suited to little kids, making it easy to wrap around smaller limbs without it feeling bulky or awkward. When the pack is fully frozen, it does become stiff. However, if I strap it firmly in place, it can mould to the shape of the arm or leg. The cloth cover is permanently attached and can’t be removed. It makes the pack more comfortable on the skin and slightly reduces how cold it feels. If a stronger cooling effect is needed, the non-cloth side can be used instead. The instructions also say the cloth side can be wiped clean with mild soapy water, which is helpful for keeping it hygienic. Because the pack is small, it doesn’t stay cold for a long time. Even so, it’s still suitable for minor bumps, bruises and itchy insect bites. Overall, it’s a handy little cold pack for kids."

"It's always tricky to keep a cold pack on a child so this is a really nice solution. The attractive echidna picture is appealing and sits on the outside of the pack while it's attached to the child. The inside is a lovely soft velour against the skin and there is a nice elastic strap to help hold it in place. Designed to be easy to clean it is non toxic. It comes in a box with an illustration of the echidna. It can be stored in fridge or freezer. Delivery was prompt and packaging secure."

"This cold pack is perfect for little ones. When frozen it is not solid but not soft either. The fabric backing is great to stop it getting too cold against their skin and saves having to find something to wrap it in. The strap is very handy for hands free cooling on limbs! The vinyl is thick and has stood up to small bites. The cold pack is easily cleaned with a wipe down or a light scrub on the fabric side and left to dry in an airy place."
